Yes, the new Charlie card will make things
1. When going inbound some people pay
cash on the train and this takes forever. The
MBTA should put signs up or something at the
platforms to notify customers to pay at the
ticket booths outside.
2. Rides are not free going outbound
Will this slow things down even more by
keeping the doors open until everyone pays? It
did on my ride yesterday. The driver told
everyone who got on the back doors to come
up front and pay, until then, he wasn't moving.
Never did berfore. They try to have solutions by
putting money into them but it makes it worse.

To make matters worse, a "charlie ticket" costs 30 cents more than a "charlie card".
What will prevent anyone who has been already burned on this from requesting a charlie card every time they go to ride the T, pay for 1 ride in cash, use it, then throw it away when they reach their destination? Perhaps the MBTA will get the message.
